The Garden Ferry

The Garden Ferry Service is aimed at taking traffic off the roads and giving customers wanting to visit the two internationally known gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan an alternative mode of transport and an enjoyable time out for the family.

The large catamaran ferry picks up and drops off passengers from Helford Village, Helford Passage, The Trebah garden beach and Glendurgan garden beach at Durgan, and from the Budock Vean Hotel by request.

Tickets to both gardens are sold on board the ferry.

Visitors to the gardens can catch the ferry to have a short trip around the river or have their coffee, lunch or tea at one of the neighbouring riverside Inns.

This ferry can also be taken by those people walking the Coastal Footpath. Durgan beach is open to the public as well as to those visiting the gardens.

The Garden Ferry Service runs continuously from 10:30 to 4:30 during the season. At half past the hour the ferry visits Trebah, and Durgan at twenty to the hour.

Very occasionally, because of very bad weather, we have to cancel the ferry. This is unusual, but if storms are forecast it might be advisable to contact us before your journey.
